Purpose of the Role
To provide front-line clerical and customer service support to both new and existing customers regarding water and related municipal services.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle customer enquiries and counter services to resolve queries in line with policies and service standards.
- Register, cancel, and transfer customer accounts via telephone or in person.
- Address and resolve consumer account issues, ensuring customer information is updated.
- Investigate outstanding debts.
- Approve reconnection orders for water and electricity services upon full payment.
- Compile daily statistics for counter interactions and telephone calls.
- Process credit authorizations through the system to recover outstanding accounts.
- Verify, monitor, and capture data to ensure accuracy of customer and account records.

Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) or equivalent
- At least 1 year of relevant experience
- Computer literacy
