Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric/Grade 12
  • Secretarial and/or Administration Diploma (or relevant qualification at NQF Level 6)
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a senior secretarial role, preferably within government
  • Proficient in MS Office and internet use
  • Strong document management and administrative skills
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, with the ability to liaise with all staff levels, the public, and Councillors

Primary Purpose:

To provide high-level administrative and document management support to the MMC, ensuring timely and effective handling of correspondence and logistical arrangements.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the MMC through the Office Manager with administrative tasks and meeting preparation
  • Take minutes and implement follow-ups on decisions taken
  • Manage diary and logistics for the MMC
  • Provide office support and handle general admin duties
  • Facilitate communication between the political office, stakeholders, and internal departments
  • Support ad-hoc functions and events as required
