Position: Driver x3 (Contract) – Corporate Services Department (CSD)

Location: Pretoria, South Africa


Overview:

The South African Reserve Bank (SARB) is looking for three contract-based Drivers to provide transportation services for passengers and goods. The role includes following set routes and schedules, while also performing messenger duties as required.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in short-term task planning in coordination with the team leader.
  • Transport passengers safely along designated routes according to schedules.
  • Ensure the assigned vehicle is clean, fueled, and well-maintained.
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections and promptly report faults, damage, or incidents.
  • Follow all traffic laws and maintain high safety standards at all times.
  • Keep accurate trip logs, including distance covered, fuel used, and number of passengers.
  • Support general administrative duties in line with departmental operations.
  • Stick to strict transport schedules, with flexibility to adjust for unexpected delays.
  • Occasionally provide chauffeur services to senior managers and board members.
  • Assist with the loading and unloading of passenger luggage.
  • Perform occasional courier duties, including collecting and delivering documents or packages within and outside SARB premises.
  • Always conduct yourself with professionalism, courtesy, and calm demeanor.
  • Monitor your work performance and identify areas for skill development.

Minimum Requirements:

Candidates must have:

  • A Grade 12 certificate (NQF Level 4) or equivalent qualification.
  • A valid driver’s license with a Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
  • 3 to 5 years of driving experience in a professional or corporate setting.
