Full Job Description:
We are seeking a Driver Assistant to join our well-established liquor distribution team based in Sandton, Gauteng. The successful candidate will support loading and unloading tasks, and help ensure prompt and accurate deliveries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Arrive on time to support adherence to delivery schedules.
- Assist in the smooth handover of goods from the warehouse to the delivery vehicle each day.
- Pack deliveries accurately and securely to prevent damage during transit.
- Ensure your tablet and all necessary delivery documentation are with you before departing.
- Complete stock deliveries and collections as scheduled or directed by the Distribution Supervisor/Manager.
- Deliver orders to customers accurately and on time.
- Maintain professional and friendly interactions with customers to promote repeat business.
- Collect and record returned or defective products as per upliftment documentation.
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and ensure the interior is clean and the vehicle is in excellent condition.
- Immediately report any vehicle-related incidents or accidents to the Driver Supervisor/Manager and follow the standard operating procedures.
- Wear the appropriate uniform and maintain a neat, professional appearance at all times.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Code 10/14 Driver’s License (Advantageous)
